Facebook Live Stream Target for WSE is Down.

    Thank you for your patience as we identified and corrected the issue. This incident has been resolved.

    If you have any issues going forward with creating a Facebook stream target, please log out of Facebook and back in before trying to create a new Facebook stream target in your Wowza Engine Manager.

    We are currently investigating an incident where you are not able to login to Facebook Live using Wowza Streaming Engine Stream Target.

    As a workaround you can use the Generic RTMP Stream Target to stream to Facebook Live. You can refer to the following FAQ Article: https://support.wowza.com/hc/en-us/articles/20066807447195-Create-a-Facebook-Generic-RTMP-Stream-Target-Using-Wowza-Streaming-Engine

    Tonight is the regularly scheduled quarterly maintenance window for Wowza Video as published in the article
    "Wowza Video preferred maintenance schedule".

    During the maintenance window, you cannot sign in to Wowza Video or use the Wowza Video REST API. Any currently active live streams or transcoders that are already running will not be affected. However, stream and transcoder start and stop events that are scheduled to occur during the maintenance window will not work.

License Server Deprecation Notice: Wowza Media Server 2.x.x, 3.x.x and Wowza Streaming Engine 4.0.0 to 4.0.5

    Due to the age of our legacy licensing servers, we must shut them down by the end of this year (12/31/2023). 

    Wowza Media Server 2.x.x, 3.x.x and Wowza Streaming Engine 4.0.0 to 4.0.5 will only be impacted if the server does not already have DNS available. 

    This change must be completed by December 31st, 2023 to continue using these versions of Wowza Media Server and Wowza Streaming Engine. 

    To verify that your Wowza server has DNS configured properly, run the command below to confirm you see the Wowza domains and IP's:

    Linux: dig wowzalicense-all.wowzamedia.com
    Windows: nslookup wowzalicense-all.wowzamedia.com

    If you have further questions, please open a support ticket for assistance.
