    During the week of 8/21/23 we will be implementing a change that will impact Wowza CDN workflows.

    Who does this effect?:
    If you are using a Wowza Streaming Engine pull to Wowza CDN workflow and you whitelist Wowza CDN IP addresses in your firewall you will need to take action to prevent disruption of your streams.

    What do I need to do?:
    Prior to 8/21/2023 please add the new IP addresses into your workflow:

    To improve streaming quality, it's recommended to set OBS to use bframe=0 when streaming to Wowza Real-Time Streaming.

    We are actively investigating intermittent stuttering in the video playback experience across all regions. While the impact is sporadic, we are diligently working to identify and address the underlying causes.

As a workaround during this window of time, you can email support@wowza.com for technical issues.     Starting at 2023-06-29 17:00:15 UTC scheduling of Transcoder start and stop failed to work as expected. This was resolved on 2023-06-30 13:00 UTC and services returned to normal operation.

    On Thursday (6/15) at 11 AM MST, for our Wowza Video customers, we will be doing a player conversion of TheoPlayer to Wowza Flowplayer. Any active streams using TheoPlayer could potentially go down. If the stream does go down, refresh the Wowza Video live stream page for new embed code or hosted page link.

    Any Wowza Video customers already using Wowza Flowplayer will not be impacted.
